EIPICO was established in 1980 and started production in 1985 as the leading company in Egypt and the Middle East Region, to produce pharmaceutical products fully operating in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.) regulations, with the aim of providing local and international markets with high quality products at affordable prices.
EIPICO is public joint stock company in Egypt manufacturing biopharmaceutical products as well as holding license agreements with a group of international pharmaceutical companies to produce their products locally.

EIPICO was established over a surface area of 120 thousand square meters in Tenth of Ramadan City in 1980, with a capital of L.E. 7 million, currently raised to L.E. 1500 million, as an Egyptian public shareholder company.
EIPICO started production in 1985 as the leading company in Egypt and the Middle East Region, to produce pharmaceutical products fully operating in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.) regulations, with the aim of providing local and international markets with high quality products at affordable prices.
EIPICO is unique with its 9 sterile areas, the first Biotechnology and Genetic engineering research center in Egypt manufacturing biopharmaceutical products as well as holding license agreements with a group of international pharmaceutical companies to produce their products locally making EIPICO currently the largest producer of spansules capsules and lyophilized products in Egypt.
EIPICO manufactures 335 pharmaceutical products covering 22 therapeutic groups.
EIPICO holds is the leading company to export pharmaceutical products. It currently exports to more than 65 countries around the world, including Arab, African, Asian, European and Latin American countries, with 29% market share of Egypt’s total pharmaceutical products’ exports.
